If you’re getting the BassBlaster for the first time it’s because a bud signed you up! Thank him by catching a bigger fish than him the next time you head out….
I sprinkled some references around this Blaster that celebrate the new Star Wars episode MCMLXII — see if you can spot ’em, they’re pretty subtle.
Depends on how you define best, but here’s one way — the seven guys with at least four Elite wins in the last 10 years:
> Kevin VanDam has the most Elite Series victories with six. Skeet Reese and Todd Faircloth each have five titles, while Tommy Biffle, Edwin Evers, Aaron Martens, and Mike McClelland each have four.
> Even though he leads the way with six full-field Elite Series victories, VanDam’s last Elite Series victory came in 2010 on Kentucky Lake. All six of the other anglers in the group have notched at least one Elite Series victory since 2013.
That’s strong stuff, and this is the strongest stout I could find:
Eeeeeewwwwwww. Those stats remind me of when I launched the BassFan World Rankings. Every pro hated it except the guy who was #1 (KVD at the time).
First the pic:
> Who has been running their brand new Skeeter 73mph, turkey tries to fly across canal, smashes into them instead…resulting in complete loss of control and a beached boat!?! THIS GUY!!!!!!!!
> I am okay! Just a broken radius bone in right forearm. Still fished the day out. And will rest of week!
Fishin’ with a broken arm is pretty stout. Did not find an applicable stout, but did find this:
May be the first instance of an internet fisherman ever photographed in his natural habitat:
Hahahaha!
Dang that’s cold:
My man Vader needs a hookup on a flat screen yo!

Who says nothin’s goin’ on in bassin’ this time of year??
> “The (Tennessee Valley Authority) lakes have always killed me, so this should be good in that regard. I’ll have an opportunity to learn a lot more about them.”
Time to sell the house, pack your guns and move to the hills because if Murray moving east ain’t a sign of the apocalypse, don’t know what is.
Lol, hope the Murrays are good and enjoy Spring City, home of FLWer Wes-L-E Strader.

1. Ultra-rare black whitetail.
Never seen one — you? Looks like a goat:
Tip of the Day
T-rig worm? Nope. Topwater? Nope. Spinnerbait? Uh-uh. Here you go, from the junk-fishing maestro hisself on Bassin’masters.com:
1. Squarebill crank
> This bad boy will catch enough of them to earn a spot of the deck of your boat. I’d suggest something that runs in the 7 to 8 foot range. Throw it anywhere you think it’ll work and in whatever color you think looks the best.
2. Jig
> Learn to fish a jig in 4 inches and in 40 feet. Cast it, swim it, pitch it, flip it, crawl it, hop it, kiss it and after that do anything else your little heart desires with it. It’ll treat you right.
> Mark your calendar and then fish for the next 365 days. Put a dot on every single day you go fishing and catch a bass with a jig. You’ll never launch your boat without one out and ready to go after that.
3. Shakey head
> I’ve had the privilege of fishing with, and against, the man who actually invented the shakey head. It caught bass 20 years ago, and it’s still catching them today. The guy I’m talking about still uses the same design and setup he always did, and he’s still the guy to beat in most local tournaments around here.
Here’s the guy who invented the shakey head:
Or maybe it was this guy:
Quote of the Day
I think the more you know about fishing and fish, the less success you have.
– G-man quote from the same Bassmaster.com article as the above tip. He’s talking about knowing too much and straying from the basics. I totally agree but Yoda was like:
