I guess that’s what bassin’ is: serenity and excitement. And that’s what’s in the official description of the new Nintendo 3DS game Angler’s Club: Ultimate Bass Fishing 3D:
Angler’s Club: Ultimate Bass Fishing 3D is the supreme fishing experience. Explore the lake and bring serenity and excitement of catching bass to your fingertips. Brilliant Nintendo 3DS graphics make competing in over 40+ tournaments an amazing experience. Customizable characters, lures and reels and gear makes you the ultimate bass fishing champion!
Check out these screen shots:
Vid games: Don’t get ’em. Get why they’re fun for kids, but never as fun as the real thing (not talkin’ ’bout the slaughter games here).
Am sort of amazed that these bassin’ games keep getting produced. Do non-bassers buy and play them but never do the real thing – like the kids who play Guitar Hero and Rock Band?
Anyhow, for all the vid game fans out there, get those thumbs in shape for some winter (or bathroom) bassin’.

Looks like tough fishing with the graph showing them suspended away from structure like that.

I dont think the developers have ever consulted a “typical” basser on lure choices, colors, action, etc. The options i have seen in the past, I have never even seen in stores. I grew up with video games and nothing compares to Black Bass for the original NES. I used to get so excited watching the mud stir up on the 2D screen with 8 bit graphics, because i just knew i was going to catch a monster!
