Didn't see a ton, maybe because of the firehose of baits, but here's you go!

1. All the Fenwick rods

As I mentioned sometime back, ALL the Fenwick rods are new. All 264 of 'em, which in the biz is called "dadgum crazy!" 😁

At ICAST Fenwick was highlightin' their top-of-the-line World Class rods (MSRP $419.95 - $504.95). Since that's a lotta $ for most of us, I'm more interested in the Elite, HMG and Eagle lines – which have the exact same actions as the World Class, just not as good components (or whatever) as you step down.

From the transparent paint and minimalist design that eliminated unnecessary weight to the rod, to the handle and reel seat materials that not only added sensitivity but mimicked the natural form of the human hand to maximize the optimal fishing techniques. Will be interesting to see how these rods do since in my experience fishing some of 'em, they are good. Doesn't look like the new Fenwicks are on TW yet....

Btw this line from the press release made me blush:

2. Abu Garcia got more finesse

Abu came out with 2 BFS reels (Bait Finesse System = real-light baitcasting) and 3 BFS rods: cranking, flipping and a spinning rod on the flipping blank. Believe all are in the Zenon line. Full combo weighs less than 9 oz! 🤯 But that comes at a price – the reel is $550 and the rods are $450....

They also have 3 full-size real-light Zenon spin reels now to match the 3 Zenon baitcasters. The original Zenon is now the LTD, and the 2 new ones are the X and MGX.

1. Seviin GF casting reels

Well first off that GF means they're Gluten Free! 💪 Hahaha that's important to the Kumars! Okay quick deal is I made a bunch o' casts with 'em and could cast fine with minimal adjustment...which is NOT the case with all baitcasters for me.

2. Svivlo baitcaster

This reel definitely generated some low-key buzz because it it supposed to be backlash free even with no thumb – just based on engineering: Somehow you cast the reel and never have to touch the spool. Word from some folks who tried it is that is true. In fact, one tour pro said he was thinking of buying one just to use it for skipping docks.

Available for pre-order on their website. Seems to look like a standard low-pro reel:

1. New SIMMS SolarFlex Hoody

New for next spring (pic is the current version), these sun-shirt hoodies – which are already great – are supposed to be even better with they call (if my notes are right!) "Brrr Triple Effect Cooling Technology." The fabric was literally cool to the touch.

SIMMS has a lot more cool stuff coming and still in camo 😍 but that for me was the slam dunk.

2. Plano Edge Jerkbait Box

20 baits (those are all the Berkley Stunna 112s but it does fit smaller ones), they sit upright so they drain well, and if you shake it hard they don't move. No more tangled hooks!

Already on TW. Plano EDGE boxes ain't cheap and they're a little heavier than regular boxes but are good....

Also coming is a Swimbait Box that has 24 clips to hang 'em:

Mark Daniels Jr designed it, uses the Buckeye Spot Remover Jig head in Ned form, looked real good in person. 6 sizes and 2 colors, not on TW yet....

1. New Grundens SeaKnit colors

Just colors but love the shoes so gotta shout 'em out!

Also gotta shout out the new Fish Finder Sandals (flip flops) with SeaDek on the footbed. New ones will have more arch support.

2. SIMMS pants coming

Challenger Sweat Pants! Rogue Fleece Pants (fleece with water repellency)!

3. FishLung oxygen livewell system

Here's the bottom line on this:

Talked to a gentleman there (Johnny "the Bully" Crews made me) who said that regular, nano and micro O2 bubbles don't just help the fish breathe and de-stress and recover faster, but they somehow help get rid of ammonia too:

Dang that'll hurt the feelings of "land weigh-ins are bad" peeps! 💪 System uses a process for making medical oxygen for people and unfortunately costs 2 grand – BUT maybe some bass tub builders will make it an OEM option if it's the real deal?

4. Fire Fly bow and stern lights

Cool idea from a guy named Chad Watts – set out to make better bow and stern lights that were more functional (also works as a light for working on tackle), easier on the eyes and less bug-attracting.

Telescoping stern light, bow light has the standard red/green nav and also has a soft yellow light that will light up the entire front deck during low-light conditions. Meets all regs.

5. Best trollers ever?

I know you already know about the new Power-Pole and Minn Kota Quest trollers, but I guess their "official" industry debut was ICAST so just shoutin 'em out. Keep it rollin'!
