1. Help a bassin' brother if you can.
Posted by Spearpoint Hooks:

2. Mike Iaconelli is no longer with Rapala VMC.
Crazy in a way, not surprising in another – only because Mike has successfully had multiple sponsors for multiple categories, but pretty much all sponsors now want guys to rep all the categories they have. I have zero info about what's up here, but to my knowledge Mike loves Rapala and vice versa.
3. Rick Clunn is now sponsored by 6th Sense.

14. FL FWC okayed length exemption for tourneys.
> The Black Bass Tournament Exemption Permit allows tournament participants to temporarily possess live black bass that may be over the recreational length limit.
15. PA: Corps basically kills tourneys on Raystown Lake?
Unilaterally? Text from that link ^:
> He states that the "policy change" that impacts [tournaments] is any special activities permit filed where the weigh-in would end between 0900-1600hrs from Memorial Day until Labor Day. His solution is to push back a weigh-in beyond 1600hrs. He stated this is because the hours of 0900-1600 on Saturdays and Sundays between Memorial Day and Labor Day are high-use times where our weigh-in affects boat ramp activities.
> For background, tournament permits must be filed with PA Fish and Boat for approval. They then are sent to the Army Corps for facilities approval. PA Fish and Boat has approved our permit and it is denied by Mr. Gwinn of the Raystown Army Corps. He previously told me this was a local decision and not one from the district of Baltimore who controls our local Corps.
> We believe Mr. Gwinn is overstepping his legal authority with no quantifiable data about how our weigh-in has affected ramp flow or use. We believe this policy is discriminative towards the tournament angler.
If true, that ain't cool man. Gov't FOR the people!
16. ME: Couple new bass-related regs.
> Beginning on Jan 1, 2024 all waters containing bass in the North Zone will be managed under general law regulations of "No size or bag limit." The purpose of this change is to clarify that bass are managed as an invasive species in the North Zone and are not provided protective regulations....
> Effective Sept 1, 2024, it is unlawful to sell or offer for sale a painted lead jig that weighs 1 oz or less or measures 2.5" or less; and effective Sept 1, 2026, the use of these painted lead jigs will be prohibited.
17. You can watch the B.A.S.S. history shows on...
...Bassmaster.com. Here's part 1, and here's part 2. More parts coming.
Tommy Sanders wrote a lil summary of it. A little bummed there's no ultra-sharp wit in there Tommy!

26?? UTAH?? Zero qualifications, looks like she was involved in SD politics. I'm smellin' a favor for someone...?
Headline of the Day
Police arrest naked man who 'cannonball' jumped into aquarium at an Alabama Bass Pro Shops
Several AL bass pros come to mind but apparently they all have alibis...😆
Lines of the Day
Read through enough negative comments on social media and you'll quickly get the sense that many people – often those who do not have or cannot afford this $20,000 to $30,000 technology [FFS] – act as though simply having it on your boat instantly transforms you into an unstoppable, can't-miss angler.
One of a few misses, in my 2c, in that OutdoorLife.com post. Yep he's talking about bass boats and bass fishing, mostly.
...more bass are caught from cartop boats, canoes and float tubes then from bass boats.
Guy talking about Clear Lake, CA specifically or in general, can't tell. If Clear Lake, could that be true CA peeps??
