Today's Top 4

1. Lookit this paint job!

Anyone got any corn meal?

2. FLW's 3rd Okeechobee DQ!!

Is three DQs in one tour-level event a record? Anyone?

> McMillan was disqualified after it was determined his practice partner, Cal Clark, was not signed up to fish as a co-angler despite Clark's belief that he had paid his entry fee.

> After practicing with McMillan for 3 days, he was informed at the angler registration meeting Wednesday afternoon that FLW had no record of receiving a co-angler entry fee from him.

> "I understand why FLW did what they did," McMillan told BassFan. "Was it 100 percent right? I don't know."

My question: What if you wanted to practice with Kuato, that dude from Total Recall?

3. The back-seater boated more than 21 pounds in the initial half-hour while all Skinner could manage were two small keepers and a catfish.

Bassin'Fan writin' 'bout the guy who won the Havasu Rayovac.

Btw the key for him was fishing dirtier water…shades of Brandon Palaniuk at Bull Shoals?

4. Mr. Bass was found on the floor, apparently knocked down when the intruder kicked the door in.

From an article 'bout a Big Mouth Billy Bass foiling a burglary. Whooda thunk?

Word is Tommy Trout was a total wuss and just played dead:

Tip of the Day

Using Google Earth to scout.

Hopefully you know this already but if not:

> …the ability to scroll through Google Earth images by date. Water fluctuation images reveal a whole lot about the potential of areas during different timeframes. In the past, those images could really only be viewed by physically driving around the lake when the water was low, high or somewhere in between.

> After you’ve zoomed in on the cove, creek, or flat you want to check out, click on the date indicator at the bottom left corner of the map. A drag bar will then appear on the top left corner of the map. As you drag along the timeline you'll notice there are several images of the same location from past dates.

> By utilizing this feature regularly, an angler could quite often see what the area looks like during different seasons, different water levels and even more finite features like aquatic vegetation cycles.
