Today’s Top 3
1. Gambler figured huge at EverStart.
Gambler baits being good on Lake Okeechobee ain’t exactly a secret, but check this:
1st: Gambler Fat Ace (Senko), Tightlines UV UVenko
2nd: 1-oz Gambler Jigzilla with Gambler MegaDaddy trailer
3rd: Gambler B.B. Cricket and Zoom Z-Hog with 1.5-oz weight for punching, flipped a 3/4-oz 4X4 jig
5th: Gambler EZ Swimmer (McMillan’s Magic) to find fish then slowed down with the EZ Swimmer on a 3/8-oz 4X4 swimjig (black/blue)
Even if you don’t, won’t, could never or whatever run a Bass Cat, you gotta admit a set of these on your vee-hickle would look sweet! Bass Cat said: “They will be available in Ford, GM and Toyota.”
> Green pumpkin chartreuse inside and green pumpkin purple orange inside – the outside of the tube is green pumpkin while the entire inside is either chartreuse or orange.
> Not only do the colors show bass something different, but they mirror the actual natural changes of crawfish and baitfish when viewed underwater,.
> Though the color itself is not new to our softbaits, California 420 has also been added to our tubes.
> All colors in both sizes (3.75 and 4.25) of tubes.
Here are the new tube colors in order of mention:

Tip of the Day
JT Kenney: A-Rig as a follow-up bait.
Seeweeusly? Yep, interestin’ one from the FLW pro:
> A lot of people don’t use an umbrella rig in the prespawn, but maybe they should. It’s a great follow-up lure to a lipless crankbait or square-bill when you’re fishing shallow flats or gravel banks.
> If I go down a bank and don’t get any hits on the crankbait, I’ll just keep on going. But if I go down a bank and catch a fish or two on the lipless crankbait, or miss some, I’ll turn around and go back through there with an umbrella rig. I’ve found that you might squeeze out another keeper or two….
> I prefer to fish a five-hook umbrella rig with really light jigheads and swimbaits in the 4-inch range. I’ve found that any of the shad colors work best for me, and I’ll swim the rig just under the surface with a steady retrieve.

Quote of the Day
I am hoping by making the Classic, and if I can finish high enough, I will pick up sponsorships that will help me move up the ladder.
– Bassmaster Weekend Series Classic qualifier Clifford Collins of TX. Also said:
> “Winning the Weekend Series will allow me to fish at a little higher level than what I have been. It will give me a shot at a little more recognition. It’s hard fishing at the level I am fishing to get any kind of sponsorship. You can get a little if you know somebody.”
> “I’m sure it won’t be a big jump all at once, but I will be able to fish the Opens and if I can, I will fish the Nation again. I will fish the Weekend Series. My goal is to fish the stuff that will get me back to the Classic again.â€
