Well, well, well, that Jacob Wheeler kid won another one. And that "I ain't never heard of him" kid Jeff Sprague got another 2nd. Wish I could tell you how many of each that is for both, but unless I'm missin' somethin' that's not on the MLF site stats...?
Anyhow, guessin' Jacob is doin' all kinda MLF media today so don't have his winning pattern, but do have most of 2nd-5th (thanks fellers!).
> We believe America is the greatest country God ever placed on the face of the Earth. We’re proud to be Americans and so thankful for the freedoms we all enjoy. We would also like to say a special thank you to all the military, police, healthcare workers, and first responders who serve and protect us all every day.
Man bass peeps are just GREAT. Love you all.
If you get out on the water, be careful of the clowns because it'll be a dang circus! I plan to fish...gotta fish before I lose it. Need to fish real bad but maybe not this bad:

2nd-5th St Lawrence BPT winning baits.
|
|
Just missin' "Yo" Adrian Avena (4th), hope to have his baits next week:
2nd: Jeff Sprague
> "6-12' gravel and grass mixed areas were key, close to the main river."
|
|
3rd: Skeet Reese
Skeet used several baits, here are the main 2:
> "I fished 2-8', looking for a sand, rock, grass combination.
> "I was using the mapping quite a bit on the Lowrance C-MAP...super-detailed...trying to find little isolated humps...1-2' rise in the bottom and flats."
|
|
5th: Brent Erhler
> "Fished bed-fish and staging fish in 8-15'."

Comments about this deal on social are HILARIOUS. Before gettin' into that, here's you some more:
|
|
Couple more deals from bass-heads....
Dan B:
> "Charter/Life member of B.A.S.S. (paid Ray Scott $100 in 1968), instructor at first B.A.S.S. Universities at Indiana State.... I was using these over 50 years ago...."
|
|
Walton:
> "When I lived in Fort Lauderdale, I was an avid Scuba diver. THIRTY+ years ago, we were using the EXACT same cone-shaped viewer to look over the side before we dropped anchor to dive a location.
> "...they were available in dive shops as well as some boating/fishing shops that catered to the saltwater angler. ...anglers liked to check what type fish were on a reef or other structure. If it was a big school of parrotfish, they would move along to another spot (looking for edible fish)."
Also seems like these and similar deals are used for gold-prospecting, lookin' fer river bugs and other stuff:

Floggin' commentin'
Dude named Gerald Swindle might have had the winnin' comment (real surprising lol) on the Strader post but I can't put it here! Lotta online shout-outs to Zona's "cone of injustice" phrase, and some of the most hilarious comments were folks outraged on MLF social but I guess they were so outraged they couldn't stop watching?? 😆 Few more that made me laugh:
> Be a man and fish through the surface chop.
> And just like that the cost of them doubled!
> Who's the best angler? The guy with all the electronics and a Flogger or the one that can really figure them out and catch them? [Pretty sure both are closely related....]
> Greed has ruined bass fishing for sure. Why don't they just stay home and play video games with their kids. [Greed?? Because it's not fishing??]
> Fishing is gonna be ran by computer geeks in the future instead of true fishermen.
> It would be hilarious if they made a TV show...would select some dumb comments from social media, give them a boat, cameraman, Flogger and LiveScope and see how many bass they catch since it's just cheating and easy. [Hahaha word!]
To all you sayin', "Get that floggin' thing outta here" 🤣 I gotta say: Ain't this technically a "Scope" to see things "Live"? So it is a form of "Live Scope"?? 🤔
Also this guy's comment...
> This is nothing new, but if they used dishwasher soap in a spray bottle it would light up all the snowflakes about eco friendly methods.
Snowflakes! 🤣 But that did remind me of this vid – has 2.2 mil YT views – where a physics guy drops 1 tablespoon of olive oil onto a lake surface and the chop literally disappears over HALF AN ACRE! Explains why too. Fascinatin':

This OR bill is insane. Literally.

> On Jun 3, the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) submitted comments to the OR Secretary of State arguing the proposed ballot title language prepared by the Attorney General for Initiative Petition 13 (IP 13) failed to adequately notify voters as to the sweeping effects of the initiative. If passed, IP 13 would end all hunting, fishing and trapping throughout the state.
> In response to CSF's comments, the Attorney General modified the ballot language on Jun 21 to now include a statement on the effect IP 13 would have on funding for conservation efforts due to hunting and fishing license sales being eliminated from the OR Dept of Fish and Wildlife's budget.
> With the final ballot title language now certified, initiative proponents can begin gathering the 112,020 signatures required to place the initiative on the 2022 ballot.
Okay so fishing/hunting/trapping might not end/be made illegal, just the primary funding source (license sales) for the DNR would be gone?? And all the soy donuts who never held a rod or gun in their lives can decide this deal???
Man really seems like the monkeys are running the zoo in that state, or maybe it's these folks:

Feel bad for you OR bass-heads. Rise up!
|

Please ignore the fact that those are dudes wearing makeup...😁 Quick story: Long while back a bud and I went to see the band Dokken at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. They opened for hometown band Twisted Sister ^. We were not Sister fans, and I guess the lead singer saw that we were sorta unenthusiastic because we were sitting next to his galpal in the front balcony. The dude actually called us out from the stage lol! We were like, Is he talkin' to us??
That was the second-funniest deal that happened to me at a show. First was the Alice in Chains guit-player kinda shoving me I think cuz I wasn't impressed by his finger gymnastics...when I was starin' at him in the front row. Story for another time/Blaster....

1. The boat umbrella deal
Yep the boat umbrella is made by Millennium Marine. But you can also make your own umbrella bracket, like this'n from bass-head Glenn D:
|
|
> The diameter of the pipes for this one are 1.5" and they fit well over the Triton factory seat pole. If someone is making one, I suggest verifying their boat's seat pole diameter before buying materials.
Thanks Glenn!
2. Do you CBD? Ever thought about it?
|
|
As a chronic pain guy, I've tried it, mostly cuz my wife was freakin' out about my steady Aleve use. But CBD ever worked for me...til I tried this stuff. I was skeptical man, believe me! But my bud Marcus Parker – a TX bass-head and brother in Jesus – called me outta the blue and said he and a friend were startin' this deal called Revital Outdoors. I was like, "Marcus you're startin' a REVIVAL? I'm in bro!" And he was like, "No, no, no – ReVITAL, with a T." Lol, anyhow:
> He sent me some, I tried it but not consistently, didn't notice much of anything. Honestly, without guidance I had no idea what I was doing...like with LiveScope lol.
> At the Classic the company had a booth there, and I was a hurtin' pup – normal for me, walking around with a backpack all day, whatever. So I went by the booth, they asked me what up, recommended some stuff and advised how much to take...and the next day I had like 80% less pain AND my back felt less locked up. But bein' me and a bass-head 😁 I was still skeptical.
Long story short I bought some, took it home, it seemed to still work so I bought some more, seems like the real deal. Revital apparently makes it differently – it's a higher quality – and the guys are good dudes. Your experience might not be the same, just a heads up. Here's their link. My 2c: Get the stronger stuff!
I'm still takin' it and didn't realize I felt any different til my wife asked when I last took Aleve. I couldn't remember....
3. Good Bomber Fat Free Shad custom color
Okay we all know the Fat Free Shad in "citrus shad" is a must-have. Well, maybe this new/limited quantity color is too...which I say because it's already been seen on Jason Christie's boat – Fat Free Shad Jr in "ozark shad":
|
|
Locally but outstanding, thank you Lord! Please keep praying for his RESTORATION! (Or of course however you are led....)
Cracks me up when he says in that lil vid, "Just out here for fun, let's see if we can catch 'em." That's what MY fishing days are like, maybe yours too. AMart can't not catch 'em man....🐐
...families of 4 teens just lost in a car crash. Dang it.... Please pray for the families. 🙏
..."The Adventures of The Proper Bassin Men" hits planet Earth on The Proper Bassin Men FB Page this Sunday at 7pm CST and @theproperbassinmen on IG Mondays at 12 noon CST.
Surprise is who does the voiceovers, which gives me even higher hopes/expectations for this deal. I'm sure they won't get it to 100 the first time out, but there's a 9-lb smallmouth's worth of potential with this deal...at least in my own mind....
|
|
> I'm talking 3/4-oz and heavier. The kind that get down quick and stay there throughout the retrieve.
> Spinnerbaits are relatively snag-proof. They have the ability to pass through cover too gnarly for other moving lures – particularly crankbaits.
> I generally prefer a #4 front blade (either CO or willow) paired to a #6 trailing willowleaf.
Looks like it? Some wally fisherman up north:

Stuff's good for ketchin' buckets!
|
|
Greg Hackney 7'3" H, 7' 6" H and 7' 11" H rods – pitchin' and froggin' – because Hack don't need no wuss rods! 👊
Mark Rose Jig/Worm, Carolina Rig, Swimbait and Deep Crankbait rods. If Mark ain't fishin' deep, he is TRYIN' to fish deep! 😁
Zona all-spinnin' 😢 Shakey Head, All-Purpose, Tube Crackin' Special and Power Finesse Rod. Word is even though Zona's very sensitive, he wanted a rod to make him even more sensitive...like Dave Mercer is....
$179.99-$189.99.
BAHAHAHAHA just messin'! New one:
> ...ergonomically tapered lightweight aluminum frame with graphite side plates, and Lew's new custom paddle grips.
> Mark Rose: "...this is the best reel you have ever had in your hands for long casting. It is easy to cast, and to cast far. ...it is great for quick adjustments on the water."
I think by "adjustments" Mark means "ease of backlash removal" – lol! 🤣 Just messin'!
$199.99 and also coming out this fall.
Must be selling a lotta tackleboxes!
13. Sounds like Skeeter is still favoring Johnson Outdoors stuff.
Humminbird/Minn Kota:
> ...announced a renewed, exclusive relationship with Johnson Outdoors that will put Minn Kota Raptors with Active Anchoring on most of its premiere bass boat models within the...ZXR, FXR and SX lines.
🤔
Congrats to him! See him on YT ^.
New TD, went to Auburn, said Trip made him do it.
Okay not sure about the last one...but I do know B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin his a huge Alabama fan so....
Congrats! And his last name is Greene....
Says they're the machines used to build the rez, left there, supposedly marked? Not sure why this is coming up now – low water maybe?
19. Asian carp updates.
Smaller than a penny, so far sounds like no known bad effects.... Makes me wonder if we're being bombed with bad critters...?
Hate hearing that....
> Do not drink, swim, wade, use personal watercraft, water ski or boat in waters where there is a visible bloom.
> Wash your skin and clothing with soap and water if you have contact with algae or discolored or smelly water.
> "...95% of our customers were American. Some of them returning for 25-30 years...."
> "Grocery stores, gas stations, float plane services, baitfish dealers, fuel and propane businesses, hardware stores, marine dealers, food suppliers and other equipment. The list goes on."
Headline of the Day
> "It sounds like an alligator eating a dog. It kind of scares the kids a little bit."
Dude talkin' just moved down from CT...called the 5-0 about it...🙄

Why Micah Frazier always has a Speed N tied on.
|
|
> "Because of its tight wobble and ability to bounce through cover, the Speed N is a great option around wood, stumps, laydowns – pretty anywhere you might fish a lipless crank, a traditional squarebill or want something moving really fast."
That said, here's a couple targeted uses for it:
Grass-rippin'
Throwing the "chili bowl" color ^ in grass:
> "This bait comes through grass so well. Use a pretty fast retrieve, but let the bait contact the grass and then snatch it out. A lot of times, what triggers a bite is the lure breaking free."
> "I love throwing the Speed N on that rod because it has a really soft tip but plenty of backbone for ripping it out of the weeds."
Spring shad burnin'
He targets shallow shorelines and riprap banks with one of the Speed N's 3 shad colors. He goes with a 7' MH Abu Fantasista Premier Rod 14-lb Sniper with the same reel. Quick retrieve:
> "It's got a really fast, tight wobble – like the name suggests, it's meant to be burned. That's where this bait shines. You can fish it slower, but I don't think you can fish it too fast."
Here's a pile of 'em – that one with the bleeding eyes is freakin' me out man!
|
|
"All my friends are like, 'Hey you want to hang out?' and I'm like, 'Well, I'm already at the lake."
- Hahaha love it! That's MT HSer Wyatt K talkin' who wants to become a pro basser. Go for it man! Don't think we've ever had a tour-level person from MT, but hey there's a kid from ID doing pretty good!
> So far this year Wyatt has competed in 3 tournaments. He admitted that he skipped class a couple of times to get to some of the events a day earlier, but he made sure to send one of his teachers, KC MacDonald, pictures of the bass he caught.
I'm 100% SURE many, if not all, pros "skipped class" too...I will throw in every major TV feeshn dude, several folks in the tackle biz, etc. All good – priorities!

The world's first lab-grown sushi bar is about to open in San Francisco
No thanks! 🤢 Check this:
> ...will soon serve slaughter-free, sushi-grade salmon...capable of producing 200,000 lbs of lab-grown fish per year without destroying the ocean.
"Slaughter?" "Destroying?" It's just fishing mang!
Can't link it, on vegnews com.
