Need a Smallmouth Fisherman…

…to read and review (for publication here) the book The Last Smallmouth by legendary smallie expert Tony Bean.

Brown fish are my favorite fish (one’s on my wedding ring!), I want to read the book, Tony sent us one to review, but I’m just too dang busy to get to it and have already sat on it too long. Any takers?

If you’re interested, leave a comment on this post with how fast you can do it, and why you’re the right person – like you’re a better writer (and angler) than Hemingway or something.

Thanks!

I’ll do it. I can read it in under a month. And I’m a college fisherman and I’ve spent my life on Champlain. And I do write a blog and history papers so I guess I could do a decent job on it.

First, I would be excited to read Tony Bean’s book. And second, I would be glad to write a review for bassparade. As a hardcore bass fisherman in Wisconsin, I spend a large percent of my time chasing smallies. I have my own blog if you’d like to see a sample of my writing (www.fishingforward.com). I think you’ll agree that I am a better writer and fisherman than Hemmingway (at least, since he died 50 years ago). And, I would expect that I could have a review back to you in 2-3 weeks. Let me know if you think I may be of assistance.

I’ll finish it in a day… tops. Most bass books I’ve read (ie – Knowing Bass, Sowbelly, Bassmaster Shaw Grigsby by National G, Secrets of a Champion, Bass Strategies, etc) I’m so into learning from them, that I can’t put them down once I start.

I graduated with honors from a journalism program in college, so I know how to read and write. Which could come in handy reviewing The Last Smallmouth.

Also, since moving to Vancouver Island about 8 years ago, I only target smallies and I do it all year long from my boat. Whether the water is 34F or 80F, the smallies are biting somewhere, on something.

What I’m trying to say is, PLEEEEEEEAAAAASE let me review it…
