Would You Pay for a Pro’s Fish?

The last thing this fish saw was the huge crowd at the Classic….

Saw in a local paper that saltwater fish and crab sales have been soaring because they’ve been caught by “celeb” captains – like swordfish “caught” by Linda Greenlaw of Swords: Life on the Line fame (she doesn’t catch them herself and has trouble finding them without help) and Jonathan Hillstrand of Time Bandit Deadliest Catch fame.

Incredible what people will value. But got me thinking: Would you pay for the bass, or a replica of it, that a pro caught to, for example, win the Classic?

Could be like football helmets from each Super Bowl or whatever.

Might be a conversation piece, that 2 1/2-pounder mounted on your wall….

Then again, maybe with the signed pro’s jersey next to it and his mugshot, could be kind of cool. Sorta.

I definately have better things to spend my money on! Entry fees, so I can catch some fish, and get famous. =)
