Swimbaits 'n other plastics
These could light the bassin' world on fire🔥 – a cheaper, just as great version of the Scottsboro swimbait??
> The new YUM/Scottsboro swimbaits are injection-molded copies of the legendary hand-poured Scottsboro swimbaits. ...properly-packaged solid-body swimbait with an extreme body roll and tail kick in a clamshell package....
Here's a vid of Jason Christie runnin' 'em down for ya:
Another swimbait for ya! Sexy wiggle at at any speed, meaning tail wag and body roll, plus that "ExoSkeleton" displaces more water. Check the action in this quick YT video. Tough to beat that color ^ = "pro blue red pearl."
If you're in real clear, real cold water or a cold front, here's a more-finessy swimbait option (that's ^ "TN shad"). This bait also has "an internal holographic insert" (mylar maybe?) that makes a cool flash – not too flashy because it's inside the plastic.
A-rig 'em!
Not sure if there's a whole new generation of bass that haven't seen these things or what, but A rigs have been RED 🔥 HOT this winter. Here's a couple for ya:
Probably the A-Rig used the most, at least in tourneys, because it's easy to cast and works.
I don't know a whole lot about A-rigs, but watching Shane LeHew go through it firsthand left me real impressed with his deal. The easily replaceable arms are cool fo sho:
This is a 7'9" HF Glidebait, Swimbait, A-Rig rod, aka a "bait launcher." I haven't used it, but I know from talking to Shane your rod needs to launch/lob that big rig with minimal effort or you'll get worn out.
Yep we all know Neds have gone from "last ditch effort" to "I know it'll get me a bite" so here's one Ned head option for ya:
> ...finesse yet super-strong hook made from chemically sharpened vanadium steel...uniquely beveled edge conical keeper...positioned precisely to allow for the plastic to collapse tightly between the keeper and jighead...1/0 hook, available in 4 sizes and 3 colors....
Word is VMC was gonna make this hook out of Adamantium instead of vanadium, but Wolverine and the X-Men still hold the patent on it and the VMC attorneys were like, No thanks! 😁
Bait can be Nedded, dropshotted and maybe even Carolina-rigged, and it comes in the purple package so....
The Sukoshi Bug on a Ned head looks good! Just enough bug/craw to give the ol' Ned worm a little extra life. Comes in good colors too – that's gp orange, always one of my faves.
Drag 'em up with a C-rig!
Youngsters are brinin' back the Carolina rig, which never left but was looked down upon by some. Not sure why – it's like a Dropshot/Ned offspring on 'roids! 😁 Anyhow, here's some good C-riggin' options for ya.
Personally I CAN'T WAIT to C-rig this new bait, and I fully expect a huge pop on the end of the line! Would make a great bed bait too. Vid above, check it on the TW.
If you're dragging around anything that can nick your line, this is stuff...in my 2c. I'm 100% confident in this line around anything, including zebra mussels. That doesn't mean it's magic and somehow won't get scuffed up, it just is what it says: for real abrasion resistant.

Z-Man Goat ToadZ
New, not out yet, looks pretty dang good, maybe more of a spawn-time bait. Didja know it was fan-influenced deal? Everyday fishermen influenced it through social media. How often does that happen!
> ElaZtech, 4", "a thick, bulky body and streamlined profile enhance castability, v-shaped belly provides surface stability...dorsal ridges protect hook points and provide a template for rigging with single or double hooks," 8 colors, $4.99 per 3-pack.

Gitcha ready and comfortable!
1. Pretty sure the Vexus VX21 is the most spacious bass boat ever made. Only thing more comfortable than that is taking a bath in warm hot chocolate! Wait – did I say that out loud?? 😂 Check the VX21 rundown on YouTube, and make sure you have a drool cup handy!
2. MotorGuide Tour Pro – Quiet, easy to operate, foot operation not needed, GPS anchor, plays nicely with all 'tronics. Here's Shaw Grigby talkin' 'bout why he was lovin' his in the last tourney:
4. SIMMS – I wear so much SIMMS stuff my kids make fun of me...but they wear it too lol because it looks cool and works! Couple picks for ya for the pre-spawn – clock wise from top L are:
5. Get warm with BUFF stuff! Keep the back o' the neck and dome warm cuz BUFFs ain't just for keeping the sun off.
6. Couple cooler-weather YETIs in the boat, truck, car or bank – L to R:
7. Last but not least, gitcha Revital Outdoors CBD – and still pass a drug test 😁 just messin' – with Revital Outdoors' CBD stuff. Yep "I'm a man so I don't need any pain stuff" – til I realize I do. 🤪 So I pop 2 of the 25 mg softgels before I go and at least 1 more before bed, takes the edge off and sometimes more.
