Fishing on ‘Roids

If there were a performance enhancing drug for fishing, what would it do?

That’s the question Bass Parade asked a handful of Elite Series pros while hanging out at the Bassmaster Classic in New Orleans, La. The answers we got ranged from a potion that would enable you to see through water, to a pill that eliminates the need for sleep and even a concoction that somehow slows down Kevin VanDam.

Watch the video after the jump.

These pros are used to getting asked the same questions over and over again by the media and most of them have a canned response for just about every fishing-related query. But you can tell this question caught a few of them off-guard, which is exactly what makes this video funny.

I’m sure our fellow Paraders can come up with some good answers for this one. Let’s hear your ideas about what a PED for fishing would do. I’d like to have one that made my urine smell like fish oil. One Big Gulp in the morning and you could pee a chum line for miles. Gross? Maybe. Awesome? Definitely.

It would have to be something to keep you thinking positive. Or is that just a anti-depressant?

Ever since I was a little tyke fishing I have thought to myself it would be awesome to be able to see through water like it was just air. If I were ever to come across a Genie that has always been something I would wish for.

Same here. I’ve had the video game dream like Clark Reehm talked about. I’ve often looked out over a lake and just imagined all these little red arrows swimming around where each fish was.

It would probably be depressing to know how many fish are in an area and still not get bit.
