All I Want for Christmas is THIS!

Have you seen this new concept Tundra that Toyota unveiled at the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas? It’s been featured on a few bassin’ sites, but all we’ve seen so far is a bland press photo from the front end. So, we got to snoopin’ on the net and found some shots that detail the rig from all angles, and OH-EM-GEE is it sweet!

I’ve often pondered what the ultimate fishing/hunting/general outdoorsman’s vehicle would look like, but even my whacked-out imagination couldn’t come up with anything this cool. I thought Skeet’s mondo-sized F-650 was the sweetest rig running, but this thing has it beat by a long shot.

The list of drool-inducing gadgets and features is too long to list, but includes a massive 86-square-foot deck/deer blind above the cab, a dedicated firearms storage area and an outdoor kitchen complete with stove and sink. And, of course, there are plenty of places to stash your fishing tackle.

For a detailed review and lots of pictures, check out this feature at PickupTrucks.com. Be sure to also check out the video walk-around posted below. And, if you still want more, KVD shares his thoughts on the rig in his latest blog entry at Bassmaster.com.

The bad news about the whole deal is that it’s a “concept” vehicle. Which means it may actually never see the light of day in terms of production (not that I could afford this beast, anyway). However, if you want a chance to actually see this monstrosity in person, it’ll be making it’s rounds to several Bass Pro Shops stores throughout the country this winter.

Are there any features you’d add to this thing (and where the heck would you put ’em)? What would your ultimate bassin’ truck look like? I know you’ve thought about it.

I love it, but you’d better be prepared to be within shooting distance of it at all times, due to all the scumbags that WILL try to break into all those cabinets and boxes. I prefer a plain looking rig, that is chock full on the inside, but barren on the outside. It comes with prominent stickers stating “GUARDED BY VERY LARGE RATTLESNAKE”…. Robert Lee’s truck was ripped off at a Phoenix Hotel and found in the desert near the Mexican Border (WHAT a surprise…), up on blocks, and stripped clean of tons of his equipment. Regarding both one’s truck AND boat, all I have to say is: LOJACK IT!!

Hopefully we’ll see this thing on the new season of Billy The Exterminator too. He’s got a tricked out Toyota!
