I was surfing around the Strike King site again, this time found a few Denny Brauer nuggets. One is this:
Sometimes I change lures because Iâ€™m not getting bites. If Iâ€™m fishing a particular lure religiously for 4 or 5 hours that I think the bass should be biting, but donâ€™t get a bite, Iâ€™ll swap lures.
Four or 5 hours?! Dang!
Do you have nerves of titanium like that? Can you wall off your doubting/gotta-catch-’em brain like that?
That’s so foreign to me I find myself doubting Denny’s words â€“ like, is he pulling our legs or what?
Obviously not, so…
…which of you out there can stick with something that long?
I’m not talking about waiting for the water to start moving or the wind to pick up or whatever. I mean a flip or cast every couple of seconds and you’re thinking on every cast you’re going to get bit…but don’t.
