If you’re getting the BassBlaster for the first time it’s because a bud signed you up! Thank him by catching a bigger fish than him the next time you head out….
A big heck yeah to welcome T-H Marine to the Blaster supporters!
No doubt. You need to read every word of this gem, typos and all:
This boat is a P.O.S. This P.O.S. has been sitting in my yard for three years now. I got new tires for the trailer and I got the motor running and was going to sale it three years ago but I myself am also a P.O.S.
The motor may still run, it may not. Im not going to put forth the effort of seeing if it will. I have no use for it.
I thought about tying my ex-girlfriend to it who is now married but still calls me all the time and taking it out and just letting it sink, but that’s jus too much effort. But if you have a crazy exgirlfriend feel free to do this to her.
I would just give it away, but my dad bought this for me and he would like a little cash.
Best thing to do is buy a cheap boat that’s not a P.O.S. and put the motor on it and use the trailer. That’s if the motor still runs. If it doesn’t run I would just give Carl (from slingblade) a call and I bet he could fix it. He would probably would do it for just the price of some mustard and some french fried taters.
Please someone come get this P.O.S. out of my yard or I would be happy to meet you some place. $400 o.b.o. just make an offer and it’ll probably be yours.
HAHAHAHAHA! Just in case you think it ain’t for real, here’s the boat:
My 2 fave lines from the thread, which does have some cuss-words:
> I’ll trade you a bottle of prozac straight up.
> The only way that could be a bigger P.O.S. was if it were an inch longer….
– What Justin Lucas claims he’s said to himself in his boat “many times.” Can guarantee you this: KVD has never said that to himself, not one time.
J-Lu is not sucking on Grand Lake, where a bunch of Classic qualifiers are right now:
Diggin’ that UA gear…would look better on me…jus’ sayin’.
Awesome fish. That’s Bobby Uhrig, owner of Megastrike, with some guy named Roly or Poland or something (lol). Bobby look excited or what?? He emailed me more words about this fish than he says about his baits, which I thought was impossible, so will trim it down for you:
> I’m using 15-lb mono. This fish isn’t budging then I see it turn sideways. I fought it carefully and brought it up. Check out this bad girl. My biggest bass ever was 8.3 — this was 11 even. It was crazy. I was shaking bringing it up.
> There was a culvert with a water outlet (current) coming through from a canal. It was raining all night. There was a depression that forms there from the rushing water. It went from 3 foot to 6 foot. She was laying in there waiting for bait to come through.
> Roland took a few casts…the difference was I was slow-rolling the spinnerbaits. Barely turning the handle but could feel the blades and swimbait tail thumping. Then it just stopped dead. I set the hook and Roland…says to the camera,”Oh son, I think Bobby’s got one.” [Yep, Roland really talks like that.]
> We had no idea what size it was because of the discolored water. …I got the fish sideways. That’s when even the cameraman said [bleepy bleep].
> What a hog! It was the biggest fish of my life and the third largest bass ever on Roland’s TV show. We took some pictures and let her go. 1 hour later I caught an 8-lber and Roland caught numerous 7s. I caught a few 5s and 6s. Between Roland and I we had close to a 40-lb stringer. What a day.
Bobby caught his [bleepy bleep] fish on the 3/4-oz Megastrike Roland Martin Big Bass Spinnerbait (lavender shad) with a 4-inch Megastrike Fat Shad swimbait (white) for action and bulk.
Whole catch(es) will be on Roland’s show in a few months.
Okay I’m a little jealous. My biggest is a 9.5. I hate that Bobby’s gonna read that….
From somewhere in Japan — no info with the pic. THAT is a fatty…tho that 410-lb tight end at Baylor could still palm it:
Look at his thumb press into that ball!

1. A-Mart auctioning rods for wounded warriors.
#stout
2. K-Pink’s gone to the dark side.
That’s not a bass! What the heck is that thing????
Btw Short is working for Bassin’ Cat now which is now carried by the Be Freek (seriously) dealership on Lake Biwa, Japan. I nominate myself to go do some QC there.
List here. Changes:
Out = Zell Rowland, Rick Morris, Scott Ashmore, Kurt Dove, Charlie Hartley, Kevin Hawk, Kenyon Hill, Mike Kernan, Kevin Ledoux, Derek Remitz, Joe Sancho, Dave Smith, Kevin Short (retired from Elites, now fishing for weird fish).
4. FLWer Canterbury gets Bagley.
5. Walker and Overstreet still hunting.
Why is this pic here? Look how much Overstreet loves his camera. Good luck aspiring lens-smoochers!
…Strike King Series 3 in “crawfish” color (SK has several crawfish colors). Word is the dude was fishing the lighted dock pattern.
7. MN: New Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance.
Good! DNR and local resorts have been advocating catch/keep smallies since the walleye fishery there is declining.
8. OK: Grand smallie stocking plan proceeding?
Who secretly wants to work for Bass Pro Shops (lol).
Yo! Looking for 3 things
If you can help, just reply to this-here email or hit me up on Facebook:
1. Someone who KNOWS Kentucky Lake, what’s hot/not bait- and bass-wise. Someone who’s on top of it and can tell that story fast in words.
2. What’s the best bass fishing forum in your state? Let me know.
3. Awesome bassin’ memes. Got an idea? Make it and send it — no retreads! If I dig it and it gets on the Blaster, you get a few baits. Don’t ask me what — I’ll just raid my stash of unopened stuff. I got a lot — too much!
Tx much for the effort.
Tip of the Day
From Bassin’master.com. Could he maybe throw some of these at the Classic?
> Bandit 200 crankbait: I’ll throw either a crawfish or shad pattern depending on the water color…I’ll also pay attention to what the bass are eating…. This is a bait I can fish from a foot to about 8 feet. I can boz off the rocks, cover a lot of water and get a lot of bites.
> Yum Money Minnow: I’ll fish this swimbait on an open jighead — a 1/2-oz for shallow water to about 20 feet, or 1-oz for deeper water. If I can get semi-clear conditions, I can cover the entire water column by just changing my retrieves. I can burn this bait and fish it close to the top, I can keep it at mid-depth or I can slowroll it down deep.
> Booyah Spinnerbait: I like a 1/2-oz this time of the year and my go-to color is chartreuse with double willow blades – silver for the smaller one and gold for the big one. …from laydowns to open water. I especially like this bait if the water is dirtier in the backs of the creeks from warmer rain runoff.
> Smithwick Rogue: When the water gets down into the 40s…this 4.5-inch suspending jerkbait will catch a lot of fish…. Everybody thinks a jerkbait is only for cloudy and windy days, but it also can be effective on a sunny day. They’ll come up and eat even in bright, calm conditions. I like to fish a jerkbait over channel swings where the fish are heading into their wintering holes.
> Booyah Finance Jig: This is the bait I use for slow, methodical presentations. I’ll throw a 1/4- to a 1/2-oz based on wind, and I’ll keep it simple with either a black/blue or green pumpkin jig…with a Yum Craw Papi trailer.
Btw, he likes to mix green pumpkin with blue/black:
Quote of the Day
During the year, you will notice most aquatic plants sprouting in the spring, topping out by late summer, and then starting to fall back by late fall or early winter. This cycle may look coincidental, but this is actually a strategy for survival put on by the weeds themselves.
– TVA biologist talkin‘ on Bassmaster.com. Coincidental?
