Where Are You Representin?

Check out these pics. Yep, was driving at the time. Sitting there at a light, spacing out…you know how it goes. Then something in my brain fires “bass” at me.

Now understand, after being a fisherman my whole life and heavily involved in the bassin’ world the last 20 or so years, that happens a lot. Maybe to abnormal extent. But not usually at a traffic light near where I live in NJ, not exactly the capitol of bassin’…despite my best efforts….

Anyhow, the brain fires “bass” so I start trying to focus on why that happened. Quick scan and I see that B.A.S.S. sticker on the back of the tank truck in front of me. Might be the first one I’ve seen on a tanker.

Grab my phone and take a shot as the light turns green.

Naturally, this being NJ, the guy’s driving too slow for me, so I pass him – but then see another B.A.S.S. sticker on the back of his cab.

At the next light I’m in front of him, put the car in park, run back to him and say, “Hey, can I take a shot of the B.A.S.S. sticker on the back of your cab?” He looks a little amused, says “sure” without hesitation, and I manage to take a quick shot before the light turned green.

Why is this a big deal? Don’t know – I think it’s cool. I mean, to me that guy said more with those two small stickers than if his ride was covered with giant logos from bassin’ companies, you know? Not that the giant logos are bad. But that weekend warrior took what he had, was proud of it and made sure everyone knew it.

Little did he know an extreme bass-head was on the loose….
