Don’t Roast Your Bird ‘Til You See This

Why is Bass Parade, a website supposedly dedicated to bass fishing and humor, posting a random video of a walleye pro preparing a turkey?

1. Thanksgiving—duh!
2.Because we like to eat.
3. Because he shares some really cool tips for spicing up your gobbler.
4. Two words: BUTTER MEDALLIONS.

Trust us on this one. Don’t even think about tossing your turkey in the oven without watching this video first.

More on the toothy-critter guy: A professional angler for more than 25 years, Paul Meleen is coming off his very first FLW Walleye Angler of the Year Award and a 4th-place finish in the 2010 FLW Championship. In addition to being a walleye-catching machine, Meleen is a Cordon Bleu-trained chef and has shared many of his fish recipes on Evinrude’s You Tube channel.

Meleen, a native Minnesotan, runs a 300 H.O. E-TEC engine (300!) on a Ranger boat, and this year has been an active contributor on EvinrudeETeam.com, an Evinrude blog dedicated to giving weekend anglers tips, tricks and hints on how to catch more fish and spend more quality time on the water.

Thanks to Paul and the good folks at Evinrude for this vid.

Sounds good to me. Now maybe he will share his stuffing recipe! Seriously, these guys are what fishing is all about. Giving 20 turkeys to others who are less fortunate is what Thanksgiving is all about.

In retrospect, I dearly wish Paul cooked the turkey I ate!

    Second the props for him….
