Lisenby Leads with Two to Go

All the recent tourney talk has centered around the hotly contested race for the Bassmaster Elite Series Angler of the Year (AOY) title. But let’s not forget that BassParaders are paying close attention to an even tighter AOY contest that’s playing out in the virtual world.

J. Lisenby, BassParade’s top-ranked fantasy angler, has tallied 7,848 points through the first seven events of the season. Down in the 10th-place position is J. Boswell with 7,545 points, just over 300 points behind the leader. If Lisenby can keep logging 1,000-plus point performances (his lowest score thus far is 1,021), he’ll be tough to beat. But all it will take is one 800-point bomb by someone at the top of the heap and this race will be blown wide-open.

With an unpredictable Arkansas River derby looming on the horizon, the race for BassParade Fantasy Angler of the Year is still anybody’s game.

Some overdue congrats are in order for P. Kennedy. We didn’t run an update after the West Point event when Kennedy posted a stout score of 1,300. There’s a box of Strike King goodies on the way to Kennedy’s front door.
