Has Anyone Messed With Your Tackle?

(Plano photo, click to see way bigger.)Could You Tell?

We got a media release from Plano yesterday and this quote from KVD caught my eye:

“I can always tell you where something is among my gear, always!”

This I believe, even though Kevin has more fishing gear in his boat than most of us have in our boat, truck, house, shed, whatever combined.

But the flip side is what’s interesting: That means KVD should immediately be able to tell if something in his stash is missing. Or maybe just altered, like two crankbaits switched places. (Z, this is a hint for you….)

And since I know there are a bunch o’ tackle fanatics reading this, I gotta ask: Has anyone ever messed with your tackle, and if so did you know about it right away or…?

1. If you ever wondered how much thought could possibly go into a tacklebox, here you go:

The way it works is that the Plano 787 Angled Tackle System has an integrated storage rack that receives and holds four 3700 Series StowAways individually, each at a 15-degree angle. That means the utility boxes are gravity fed and held securely in place by their own weight. Their front edges are exposed for easy identification as to what’s inside each one, and allows quick access to the utility of choice.

There’s more, but you get the picture. Engineered, man!

2. The Plano 787 retails for around $79.99, but you can try to win one free here at the Plano website.

Im the same way. I know where EVERYTHING is. I have noticed things missing before when i would pond hop before with friends. Either they would use it and forget it was tied on when i left or they would TRY to lift it. I would be able to call them and tell them exactly what it was.

I just noticed my bottle of Mend It is missing tonight. Can’t find it. Has it been outside in the garage all winter? Doh!!!

That 787 is nice. When I first saw it I was wondering where the speakers were….. – I could probably fit all my split rings in it, but Imma’ gonna need a dump truck fer the crankbaits. I couldn’t tell you where everything is, most of it, but not all, but if you ask me if I own one (or 50) of something, I can tell you with certainty yea or nay.
