Cool info from big bass guru Mikey Long:
> “With a full moon, you have lots of light. Bass can typically see very well, especially if the water’s clear. During this time, and particularly during warm weather, bass may become almost nocturnal – feeding at night and mostly resting during the day. And because they can see well even at night, they’re actively hunting and pursuing their prey. It’s a great time to fish aggressively with baits that cover lots of water.”
> “The new moon is very different. It’s tough to see at night, and the bass’ world becomes smaller. Instead of chasing prey, they feed up close by ambush. And instead of covering water and fishing fast, I do better by slowing down, working my baits thoroughly through key feeding and holding areas and letting the fish find the bait rather than using the bait to find the fish.”
