Bassin’ trends for 2015.
How crazy was bassin’ 2014. To mention a few:
> Ranger Boats (and Triton, and Stratos) are now owned by Bass Pro Shops/Nitro. (All Johnny Morris has to do is buy B.A.S.S. – which he can for sure afford – and the empire is complete.)
> KVD ain’t fishing this year’s Classic!?!?!?
> You can now qualify for the Classic in one of 126 different ways, including one walleye tournament (hee hee).
> FLW changed its name but not its initials. (I really want to know what else they considered other than Fishing League Worldwide.)
> Zona and Mercer released this photo of them fishin’ back in the day:
Hahaha! Seriously now, trends for 2015:
> KVD will only fish with spinnerbaits and crankbaits…and on competition days will only eat his wife’s cookies ’til dinner. Don’t believe me?
> MLFers will enact a new rule that penalizes anglers for not recycling.
> A-Mart will stop running…from whatever he’s running from and just embrace it (haha!).
> All Elites will run a Nitro…except the Phoenix guys…for now….
> Skeet will finally let the cat out of the bag that he’s color blind (oops! sorry man!).
> Mikey Ikey will win a tourney on the one bait he’s never won anything on:

> Entry fees for Elite anglers will go down, and they will all get free gas cards….

Married Elites?
Normally I stay away from private life stuff, but an exception here cuz this could be the first time a married couple qualify for the Elites. Congrats to ’em both! Only comment: Trait Crist sounds like a country musical star, Trait Zaldain sounds like…an angler…related to Chris Zaldain…which I guess ain’t so bad….

Port Clinton, OH has a walleye drop, but no one does a bass drop? (Hello Birmingham, AL?)

Not what he said but the fact that he did it is what I find interesting. I feel strangely calm after reading it. Is KVD the most powerful man in bassin’? Seriously.

RIP Stuart Scott, the ESPN anchor. Here’s why I’m mentioning it here: Enthusiasm. Dude loved every minute of what he did, and wasn’t afraid to do stuff other people might not get. Boo-yah, brother.
